The terms "Oregano" and "Marjoram" are interchangeable, though "Marjoram" is generally understood to be Sweet Marjoram and "Pot Marjoram" to be Oreganum vulgare.Most marjorams prefer Mediterranean conditions and are aromatic, some have spectacular flowers. Most are perennial and yield a reddish dye.
